The BBC radio show of John Peel has posted a short’n'sweet streaming interview with leading techno producer Richie Hawtin. The Peel webpage for the show, with pictures, is here, and the RealAudio stream is available directly here. “I’m doing a lot of research and testing as I play these days with different computer software, different interfaces,” Hawtin says. “I have a special mixer I use now that has been modified with MIDI implementation.” In June, he says, he’ll be doing his first live show under the Plastikman name in almost a decade. The event is part of the Mutek Festival in Montreal. More info to come at plastikman.com.
