I find that difficult to fathom. And several people who contributed songs to the record, including Laurie Anderson (who wrote one of the songs, "The Day the Devil Comes to Getcha," from which the title comes, though if memory serves there's at least one other song here in which the word "innocent" plays an important role) and the late Arthur Russell, seem to have little difficulty keeping their work in print.
