Listening to art. Playing with audio. Sounding out technology. Composing in code. Rewinding the soundscape.

Blockhead Streams

Curious about Blockhead, the Ninja Tune label’s relatively recent signee — the New York-based, big-eared, hip-hop-oriented producer, best known for his work with Aesop Rock on the Labor Days album? Head over to his newly launched website, at, which features audiostreams (on the “releases” page) of the majority of the tracks off his new Music by Cavelight full-length and all four tracks off his Insomniacs Olympics 12″. (A free download of a single track off that album, “Bullfight in Ireland,” was the subject of the March 12 entry, here, in Disquiet’s Downstream. And it’s still available.)
